Technology

As part of the BB&D Group, InnoSys is backed by the depth and scale of South Africa’s largest independent custom software development company.

With extensive expertise group-wide, across both the Microsoft and Java technology stacks we have the ability to move beyond the constraints of any particular technology set to develop a solution that fits best.

Technologies

We consider the following to be vital considerations in the design of a system:

  • key performance and feature requirements,
  • the environment it will be deployed in,
  • the customer’s IT architecture,
  • information security requirements,
  • the resources the customer has available for future support and maintenance.

All these are important in selecting the right technologies for the best result and return on investment. Good design survives the inevitable changes in operating systems and technology versions over time.  While technology is transient, well-designed systems can be ported to newer technology environments without losing business value.

Integration

System integration with one or many other systems is the norm.  InnoSys has experience with interfacing and integrating to a wide range of other systems using a variety of approaches from straightforward XML interfaces, web services and formally exposed application program interfaces (APIs) to custom built integration for client legacy systems that require proprietary, non-standard protocols.

Libraries and Frameworks

From hundreds of development projects, we have a broad suite of proven system modules and design patterns. By selecting components from this extensive library we can:

  • accelerate development,
  • improve system robustness and maintainability,
  • reduce both immediate and longer term cost and risk.

Security, middleware, task management, external communication management, policy wording generation and archiving, document management, stakeholder management, financial transaction plug-ins are just some of the elements which can be drawn on as appropriate.
